Jennbizzle Reviews: Keranique Hair Care

Free Product Review

I was finally able to qualify for an iFabbo product and I nabbed it right away. After interning for them for three months, I’ve previously received two products. The first product I received was the Crown Brush HD Brush set, which I absolutely love and still use to this day, and after that it was the Perlier Facial Elixir. At this point, I feel as though I’m only getting about one product a year from being an iFabbo member. I’m still not sure how I feel about that. This time, I received the Clean & Condition Keranique Hair Care Set.

My Review

I received this product before the holidays, so I really feel like I’ve had plenty of time to try it and give a well-rounded opinion. I actually waited and saved my first trial for my shower just before a holiday party I was attending early in December. Some may think that’s brave (so many things could go wrong!) but I say go big or go home. If a clean and volumizing product isn’t going to work for an occasion where I’d be looking to add a bit of extra volume to my hair, then it’s not worth my time.

Keranique Hair Care VolumeJust my luck, Keranique Hair Care helped me rock a volumized hairstyle on my first trial. I have to admit, it was a strange experience. Both products, but especially the conditioner, have peppermint oil as listed ingredients. This adds a pretty intense tingle to my shower routine. At first, I was scared. I was thinking, “Why is my scalp tingling? Is my hair falling out right now?!” Luckily, that wasn’t the case.

I shampooed and conditioned like I normally do, and when I got out of the shower I did a very in-depth flipped head blowout. Then I curled it at the ends and took my new ‘do out on the town. Man, I got a lot of compliments. My hair felt a bit lighter and bouncier, and I think people could see that as well.

After the first trial, I used it every day for one week. I’m not sure if I noticed significant hair loss. I tend to lose a lot of hair and I never stopped seeing hair in the drain. I didn’t measure it strand by strand, but it was still there.

I’ve used the Keranique Hair Care set 1-2 times a week since then. Because it’s so expensive, I really try to save it for special occasions that call for volume.

  • Likes: The peppermint oil and tingling sensation as well as the volumizing effect.
  • Dislikes: That price tag! And I’m not sure about the claim to decrease hair loss. Perhaps I needed to try it longer?
  • Would I Purchase? I would not purchase this product at full price. I probably wouldn’t purchase it for half the price. Call me cheap, but I need more than 8 ounces of shampoo and conditioner for $40. I love the volumizing effect, but that’s not in my budget!

What do you think about Keranique? Have you tried it yet? Love it or leave it?
