Dr. Bronner's Liquid Castile Soap

I was introduced to the magical product that is Dr. Bronner’s Castile soap more than a year ago. Back then, it was a very well-kept secret. So well kept, in fact, that I had to search almost every store in my city and I finally found it in the teeny-tiny naturals section in my Target. Also, it was outrageously expensive for a bottle of soap. I was skeptical. But my Pinterest page raged about the qualities of this soap, so I bought it anyway.

Little did I know that (1) it is totally worth any price, and (2) it would last me forever. Now, I’m super excited to share that ePantry (yes, that eco subscription service I’m always raving about!) is offering Dr. Bronner’s products! What’s even better? They’ve got them for an AMAZING price. Seriously, like, one-third of the price that I originally spent.

About the Product

Castile soap is actually just a type of soap, not a brand name or anything. It basically means that the soap is made with 100% plant oils. There aren’t any animal products in it, like most soaps on the market. There are no chemicals in castile soap at all, so it’s completely Earth & body friendly.

All of Dr. Bronner’s products are certified Non-GMO, not animal tested, fair for life, OTCO, and vegan.

My Review

I actually haven’t run out of my original bottle yet, that’s how potent this stuff is. So, no matter what price you purchase it at, it’s totally worth the money. I mean, how much do you spend on dish soap? Laundry detergent? Shampoo? Bathroom cleaner? Floor cleaner? Foaming hand soap? Dog shampoo? And how much to do you spend on all of that in one year? Yeah, that adds up. Dr. Bronner’s Castile soap can replace every single one of those products and more. So, go ahead. Stock up!

Typically I use mine for really nasty jobs. Instead of elbow grease, I just use Dr. Bronner’s. I scour my baked on foods, get those pesky stickers off glass, and I always add it to my floor cleaner concentration. The great thing is, you just need a smidge. I still have about 1/4 of a bottle left after over a year of use. Since ePantry is offering such a great deal, I bought another (larger) bottle of Dr. Bronner’s Liquid Castile Soap.

Since I got a new bottle, and this one smelled like peppermint, I decided to do a little something special. I actually cleaned half of my makeup brushes with castile soap, and the other half with the e.l.f. brush cleaner that I usually use. The ones that were cleaned with Dr. Bronner’s came clean right away while the others needed to be rinsed a few times (like always). Now, even day later, as I’m doing my makeup I keep getting whiffs of peppermint. It’s lovely!
